Review by hotel critic
As a wildlife conservationist from Nairobi, I relish the opportunity to immerse myself in diverse cultures, and Szieszta offered a refreshing gourmet escape. The restaurant's ambiance struck a balance between elegance and warmth, perfect for savoring culinary innovations amid serene surroundings. For breakfast, I experienced a straightforward spread that adequately fueled my day. The highlight was undoubtedly the à la carte options available for lunch and dinner, showcasing an ingenious take on traditional Hungarian fare. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, reflecting both local flavors and culinary artistry. I particularly enjoyed a tantalizing goulash that was robust and well-balanced. While the hotel is situated conveniently within a 3-5 minute walk to the bus station, the serene atmosphere and picturesque views provided a break from my usual wild surroundings. In essence, my stay was an invitation to indulge in a tranquil blend of gastronomy and culture, which I would wholeheartedly recommend to fellow food enthusiasts venturing beyond Africa. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a week-long retreat, Szieszta serves as a gateway to extraordinary dining experiences!
